The Jacuzzi Whirlpool Bath was invented by Italian immigrant, Candido Jacuzzi, for
his disabled son, Kenneth, whose life's journey has much to teach us all. This
inspirational autobiography gives meaning to the word "perseverance."
Jacuzzi's creative memoir of growing up disabled with severe juvenile
arthritis in a family of Italian inventors is part history, part romance, and part
globe-trekking adventure.
Ken was born in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he spent the first 25 years of his
life.
His life story includes the history of Jacuzzi inventions
in California including airplanes, irrigation pumps, and the Jacuzzi Whirlpool Bath.
He describes using a wheelchair to get around while living and working in Europe.
He depicts touchingly his not always ecstatic love life and eventual marriage
to Daniela, a beautiful Italian woman from Venice, Italy.
His career includes managing businesses, becoming a business and personal coach,
serving as an Americans with Disabilities Act advocate, and writer.
Ken honors the value of people with disabilities, their families, and caregivers.
His motto is: "Regardless of the curveball you are thrown, life is worth it!"
Ken is currently the Executive Director of the Arizona Office for Americans with
Disabilities for the state of Arizona.
Ken is comfortable with the media,
having been on radio and television since childhood,
and would be happy to be interviewed by phone or on radio.
